Hi, I’m Courtenay McFadden

There is nothing I love more than helping and teaching clients about their bodies, how they move, and how to live a healthier, active life!

I’m born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, it’s here where I grew fond of the outdoors and learned outside can be a healing place. This led me to study Exercise Science at Western Washington University (WWU), where I graduated with my Bachelors of Science. Once at WWU I started my career in the Fitness Industry teaching Group Fitness and Personal Training. My curiosity to learn more and dive deeper into human movement and the understanding of Exercise Physiology led me to pursue my Master’s in Human Movement and Performance at WWU. I completed the program earning my Masters of Science after running my own research study and defending my Thesis on “The effects of Inspiratory Muscle Training on Anaerobic Sprint Capacity in Trained Cyclists”, where I learned a ton about all those tiny muscles that are involved in breathing!

After completing my education I continued my work in the Fitness industry teaching Group Fitness and Personal Training, all the while falling in love with bike racing. After spending 8 years racing bikes professionally (off-road), I retired from racing at the end of 2021 and have dedicated my focus to training and coaching clients.

My Approach

With nearly 2 decades of 1 on 1 training and group teaching under my belt, I work with clients from all walks of life. I have experience training all ages and abilities, from youth athletes to adults who recently had a joint replaced. Having experienced 2 hip surgeries myself, I understand the mental and physical challenges injury presents. My coaching style is supportive, fun and progressive, while being safe and effective when followed with consistency. I believe exercise should be used to meet health, fitness and athletic goals, celebrating what your body is capable of, not punishing your body through exercise.

It shouldn’t be complicated

Training doesn’t need to be complicated, daunting, or take up your entire free time. I create programs to fit into YOUR life, with what ever time you have to commit to training. My approach is simple, fun, and hands on.

It should be enjoyable

If you don’t enjoy your training program, you’re less likely to commit to it. I figure out what my clients enjoy, what they’re most likely to do, we plan it, and we execute it.
